Iconic Style: Victoria Beckham

Since her time with the Spice Girls, I am a big fan of Victoria Beckham. I have always liked – despite David – that she has gone her own way. I was all the more delighted that she was honoured a few weeks ago by Prince Edward for the position of the Order of the British Empire. She received this title for her contributions to the English fashion industry, one of the greatest honours for a British citizen.

The story of Victoria Beckham reads like a fairy tale. Born in 1974 in Goff’s Oak, Hertfordshire UK, she grew up in a rural but exclusive environment. Her father is an entrepreneur and drove the little Victoria in the Rolls Royce to school. But Victoria wanted to become a star. When five girls were searched for, for a band in 1994, she applied to become a Spice Girl.

It’s my passion to make women feel empowered, beautiful and confident.”

Spice Up Your Life!

In addition to Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C, Victoria conquered the charts. At the height of their success, she married the football god David Beckham and became a WAG. When the success of Spice Girls began to fade away and each of the band members went their own ways, she turned more and more to fashion. At first it seemed, Victoria would take care of her children and carry out her unique collection of Hermès bags. But Victoria has the style-gene and gave us already as a WAG big trends. She made Size-Zero presentable, she enchanted the women’s world with her Long Bob and everyone wanted extensions because she wore some. Since 2008, Victoria Beckham has been concentrating on her own fashion collection. At first ridiculed, all critics were completely surprised, with the stylishness of her first collection.

Since the beginning of her fashion career, she has steadily expanded her collection. In addition to the ready-to-wear collections, there are also accessories, a limited make-up collection in collaboration with Esteé Lauder and, more recently, a small plus-size collection. Hard work and a lot of discipline are probably the attributes behind this performance.

Der Style von Victoria Beckham

The style of Victoria Beckham I would call very clean and classic. It is inspired by style icons of the 1960s, like Grace Kelly and Jacqueline Kennedy. she interprets the style much more modernly. Since Victoria Beckham is a big advocate of the Size-Zero cult, her dresses are cut accordingly. An absolute dream to fit into some of her clothes.
