I remembered a Versailles at night, when stones were illuminate by the candlelight. -Victoire de Castellane
Versailles and Dior are associated for years. Dior regularly presents his couture shows in the halls of Versailles or devotes entire collections to the sun king Louis XIV, who built Versailles as a hunting lodge. Magnificent interior, luxuriant crystal chandeliers, gilded mirrors and furbished marble floors. The opulence of Versailles fits perfectly the traditional fashion house.
Dior’s creative director, Victoire de Castellane, got inspired by this baroque opulence. The result is a 60-piece jewelry collection. A tribute to the people who once lived behind the magnificent walls of Versailles. The collection includes large Chandellier earrings, cascaded necklaces or cocktail rings made out of pink and blue sapphires, emeralds or diamonds of exceptional clarity.
